Alaska Resources Conference
The 40th Annual Alaska Resources Conference will take place in Anchorage, Alaska on November 20-21, 2019. The Alaska Resources Conference is hosted by the Resource Development Council (RDC), an Alaskan non-profit organization comprised of individuals and companies from Alaska’s oil and gas, mining, timber, tourism, and fisheries industries.
The Arctic Economic Council Vice Chair Thomas Mack will facilitate a session during the second day of the conference focusing on business in the Arctic and the work of the Arctic Economic Council. The keynote speakers at the session are the AEC Director Anu Fredrikson and Vice President of Natural Resources Lance Miller, Ph.D., of NANA Regional Corporation. Mr. Miller is an active member of the AEC’s Responsible Resource Development Working Group and NANA Regional Corporation’s representative at the AEC.
“This is the first time the AEC is represented at the Alaska Resources Conference, and I am excited to facilitate the session. In today’s media coverage you can barely turn on the radio, TV or read a newspaper without hearing or reading about the Arctic. There is an increasing need for balanced information about business in our region and need for a voice for the pan-Arctic business community. Therefore it is extremely timely to bring the AEC to the most important meeting place for industry in my home state”, says Thomas Mack.
