On 20 May, Arctic Economic Council will host digital Annual Meeting for its members and permanent participants. The meeting will mark the end of the Icelandic Chairmanship of the AEC and the beginning of the two-year of the Russian Chairmanship. The priorities of the upcominc chairmanship will be presented at the meeting.
In addition, the Arctic Economic Council will present the report on connectivity infrastructure in the Arctic prepeared by the Connectivity Working Group. The report investigates the status of the telecommunications infrastructure and has developed an investment matrix that policymakers and investors can use as a tool to finance connectivity projects in the polar regions.
