It can integrate Indigenous knowledge, provide access to remote areas, monitor rapid environmental changes, preserve cultural heritage, empower local communities, and foster collaborative decision-making. It is a powerful approach that can lead to more inclusive, relevant, and effective scientific research and conservation efforts in the Arctic region, while also promoting community engagement, capacity building, and empowerment.
